INTRODUCTION

Library is a crucial resource centre for students, faculty, and staff, providing access to nursing books, journals, and digital resources. Library play a vital role in supporting academic and research needs within the nursing profession. Our library offer a variety of services, including reference assistance, internet access, and research support.

OBJECTIVES

To provide access to information, fostering a love of reading, and supporting education
To collect, organize, and preserve resources, while also engaging with the students and promoting lifelong learning.
To provide resources and support for students, faculty, and researchers. They help with course materials, research projects, and scholarly publications.
To offer access to digital databases, online journals, and other online resources to support research and academic pursuits.
To provide comfortable seating, quiet study spaces, and sometimes computer workstations with internet access to facilitate learning and research.

LAB CONDUCT/BEHAVIOR

Entry and Exit: All users must register their details upon entering and exiting the library.
Prohibited Activities: Smoking, eating, sleeping, and speaking loudly are strictly prohibited on library premises.
Silence: Absolute silence must be maintained inside the library to create a conducive environment for studying.
Mobile Phones: The use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited within the library. Devices must be switched off or set to silent mode.
Personal Books: Personal books are not allowed in the stack area of the Central Library.
Personal Belongings: Users should not leave their belongings unattended in the library when stepping out for snacks, lunch, or dinner. The library staff will not be responsible for any lost personal items.
Cleanliness: Users are requested to dispose of litter in the bins provided throughout the library.
Books and Materials: After use, books and journals should be left on the tables and not returned to the shelves by users.
Security Check: Upon leaving, all books, folders, papers, and other items in possession must be shown at the library counter. Users may also be required to submit bags or other items for inspection.
Handling Library Materials: Library resources must not be defaced, underlined, or damaged in any way, including scribbling notes or tearing pages.
Furniture and Equipment: Library furniture, fittings, and equipment must not be marked, defaced, or rearranged.
Reservation of Seats: Reserving seats for oneself or others by leaving library materials or personal belongings on tables is not permitted.
Loss or Damage: Any loss or damage to library materials should be reported immediately. Users will be required to pay for the replacement cost of lost or severely damaged items.
Copyright Compliance: All users must adhere to copyright laws when making copies of library materials.
Internet Usage: The library's internet facilities are strictly for reference and educational purposes. Accessing unauthorized websites, gaming, chatting, or engaging in non-academic activities is strictly prohibited.
Closing Time: Users must vacate the library promptly at the designated closing time.
Compliance with Library Rules: All users are required to follow library rules. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action at the discretion of the Librarian, who will report incidents to the principal of the respective institution and the library committee for further measures.
