Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) is a flagship initiative of Kerala Start up Mission to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among the student and academic fraternity in the educational institutions.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) are platforms is developed in S.H College of Nursing with an aim to provide students an opportunity to experiment and innovate. IEDCs works as the first launch pad for a student’s entrepreneurial journey and provide them with access to cutting edge technology, world class infrastructure, high quality mentorship, early risk capital and global exposure.

Objectives of the IEDC

Serve as an institutional mechanism offering diverse services, including guidance on all facets of establishing enterprises
Foster an entrepreneurial ethos within the Parent Institution and neighbouring establishments in the region
Instil a culture of innovation-driven entrepreneurship through student projects.
Address emerging challenges and opportunities pertaining to Small and Medium Enterprises and micro-enterprises with agility and efficacy.

Functions of IEDC

Host workshops on Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programs, Faculty Development Programs, and Skill Development Programs
Facilitate interactions between entrepreneurs and students, establishing mentorship programs for student entrepreneurs.
Advocate for the importance of entrepreneurship to the institution’s management, integrating entrepreneurial activities with the host institution’s operations.
Spreading awareness about entrepreneurship to nearby schools and polytechnics.
